USWA Unified champion, Dagon Briggs was also on hand to address the controversy surrounding the title vs title match between himself and former USWA Elite champion, Jon Davis. Dagon talked about why the decision was made to move the show to the United Pro Entertainment live event in Kingsland, GA on November 18th after Hurricane Matthew forced us to cancel our live event on October 8th and also talked about how he couldn't, in good conscience, hold a title that was won under questionable conditions.

Dagon then relinquished the Elite title and declared that the winner of tonight's trophy tournament should also be awarded this title. USWA Commissioner stopped Dagon and reminded him there was a protocol that needed to be followed, but Dagon went over his head and asked USWA promoter, Ella Quillen if she was in agreement with what he wanted to do. Ella gave Dagon the thumbs up, which led to the emergence of former Elite champion, Jon Davis, from the back!

Davis was visibly irritability the fact that Dagon would just discard a title that was supposed to be held and defended with respect. The two men exchanged heated words before Dagon finally offered to try and make it right with Davis by giving him a shot at the USWA championship inside a steel cage at our next live event in April!

After Jason Cade defeated Jon Davis in the final round of the trophy tournament, Davis grabbed the Elite title and the mic, praised Cade for what he had just accomplished and presented Cade with his new prize!

More details about our next live event will be available in the coming weeks, so please stay tuned to our web and social media platforms for more information!

**Video footage from tonight's show will be online soon on the USWA website and Facebook page.**
